Help me with my Mac woes.
Dear Followers and followers-of-followers,
My computer is having hella problems. First, someone stole my RAM. I fixed that by buying a 1GB stick or whatever, but my computer is still having a ton of problems, especially when I’m running something with video. The guy at the Genius Bar (Aaron is his name; he and I are practically buds now) said that it’s most likely my logic board, and that’s a $1400 fix.
Does anybody have any great advice as to what to do about this situation? I know that’s a random question, but I just can’t think of a way to afford another $2000 computer and $500 worth of software.
Karen says to start sellin’ some art, but 1) I have no art, and 2) if I did, it would max out at about $50 probably…. so that is a LOT of art to sell, and I’m not confident enough, nor do I know how I would sell it.
Anyone?

Hahaha, you’re so cute. Technically you would say “perfect my english” with the emphasis on the FECT instead of the PER, but this is deliciously ironic and funny. Also, about you coming to school in the states, I think that would be a killer experience. I don’t know if this is the place to go, and haven’t done any research, but maybe just getting out of germany would be a nice change of culture.

So, the miniUSB port on my Western Digital MyBook external harddrive came off, and fell inside. I got it out, but the problem is that it came off of the motherboard (or whatever this thing is). Does anyone know where I should look to get this fixed? I assume I need a tiny, tiny soldering iron, because it’s got four little metal feet.
