Great introduction to Joseph Biden and his capability for impassioned oratory.

Well then, just learned something about myself.

  • Me: It's funny how the most optimistic people I know just, idk, have little pessimistic things... views on life
  • Me: not saying this as a bad thing. I think it of myself too
  • Me: I think deep down I'm so trusting and caring
  • Karen: no totally
  • Me: but I worry, and I assume, and I don't hope things for MYSELF
  • Me: so then it comes off as pessamism
  • Me: I think that's the basis of it... in reference to myself, I'm never optimistic because I don't want to let myself down.
  • Karen: I think I am optimistic with everyone but not with myself
  • Karen: My optimism is a shroud of denial

I want to make these shelves. Saw them (probably posted them to Tumblr), and I have a bunch of free 4x4&#8217;s and 2x4&#8217;s. These are what they will hopefully look like.

andreasjp: i miss the excitement i always got when i unwrapped my tootsie pop to find the drawing of the indian shooting a star and put it in the pile ready to take to 7-11 to get my free ones. i thought about this today and went online to find out if this was still going on.  apparently it was never actually an official promotion by Tootsie, and no one seems to know how it got started. i wonder if any places actually still honor those wrappers. anyone know? I&#8217;ve never even heard of that.  That&#8217;s cool.

I want to support Park(ing) Day!  You fill a metered spot with grass and sitting areas and shade and make a little sign to encourage people to pay &#8220;rent&#8221;. Seriously going to look into doing this.
